How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

Open BallisticEdge Pro → Settings → Purchases → "Restore Purchases". Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Restoration is free and instant.

How accurate are the ballistic calculations?

Our G1/G7 drag solver uses standard ICAO atmospheric modeling and integrates spin drift and Coriolis at long ranges. Results closely match data from Applied Ballistics and Lapua's online calculator. However, real-world accuracy depends on your specific rifle, ammo lot, and conditions. Always confirm at the range.

Why isn't the AI target analysis recognizing my bullet holes?

For best results: ensure good lighting (avoid shadows across the target), shoot on a plain white or black target paper, photograph straight-on from close enough that holes are visible. Ragged holes from multiple shots close together may be counted as one. Use the manual tap tool to add holes the AI missed.

How do I sync my data between iPhone and iPad?

Enable iCloud sync: Settings → iCloud & Backup → Enable iCloud Sync. Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID with iCloud Drive enabled. Data syncs automatically in the background. Pro purchase required for iCloud sync.

Does the Apple Watch app require the iPhone app to be open?

For real-time calculations, the Watch app sends requests to the iPhone app (which must be reachable via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi). Environmental data and your last profile are cached on the Watch for quick reference without the phone. Pre-calculate on the iPhone first for best Watch performance.

How do I cancel my Pro+AI subscription?

Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → BallisticEdge Pro+AI → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. You can re-subscribe at any time.

My AI usage counter shows the wrong number. How do I fix it?

AI usage counters reset on the 1st of each month. If your counter seems incorrect, go to Settings → Usage → Reset Counter (if still within the same month). If the issue persists, contact support with your subscription details.

Can I export my shooting data?

Yes. Pro users can export trajectory data as CSV and generate PDF range cards from the Results screen. To export all session data, go to Settings → Data Management → Export.

How is my data secured?

All sensitive data (weapon profiles, photos, notes) is encrypted with AES-256-GCM encryption on your device. Encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. We cannot access your data — not even if compelled. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The app crashed. How do I report it?

Email support@ballisticedge.app with: your device model, iOS version, app version (Settings → About), and what you were doing when it crashed. iOS may also prompt you to send a crash report to Apple — please accept, as it helps us diagnose issues faster.

I bought Pro but some features still show as locked.

Try: (1) Force-quit and reopen the app. (2) Settings → Purchases → Restore Purchases. (3) Check your internet connection — purchase verification requires a brief online check. If still locked after these steps, email us with your Apple ID receipt.

Do you plan to release an Android version?

BallisticEdge Pro is currently iOS/iPadOS/watchOS exclusive. No Android version is planned for v1.x.
